Production and characteristics of the A500C corrugated coil
The A500C class corrugated rebar is distinguished by the presence of transverse sickle-shaped corrugations and stiffening ribs along the whip. It is made of low-alloy steel (carbon less than 0.2%, carbon equivalent less than 0.5%), additional thermal and mechanical strengthening is achieved during the rolling process. To manufacture small-diameter rebar, the rolled rods are passed through a system of gradually decreasing holes with subsequent application of corrugations on the helical line.

Main characteristics:

high plasticity and flexibility;
resistance to low temperatures;
increased weldability (arc welding can be used);
the possibility of storage in open warehouses;
no risk of fatigue cracks.
The supply of A500C class corrugated rebar in coils (diameter from 6 to 12 mm) is convenient for transportation and further work with the products. At the production site, the corrugated coils are fed to an automated line for the production of reinforced concrete products using unwinding mechanisms.
